J.P. Licks’ Artwork Program
J.P. Licks uses the walls of our stores to support local artists and their work. Read more below.
We have the work of 18 local artists (spanning photography, painting, collage, and more) hanging in 15 of our 17 stores. J.P. Licks employees love being surrounded by art and we’re thrilled to have spaces in which to support the working artists of this city and the surrounding area. Currently hanging in our Wellesley Square store is Rob MacIntosh, a native Bostonian who now lives in West Roxbury. He received a BFA from Massachusetts College or Art and Design and has shown his work extensively throughout the area. This exhibit, FACES, captures the people he has encountered in his journey – may of which only lasted a few minutes. But each experience created a rapport that allowed them to be themselves in front of the lens.
We are always looking for new artists who want to have their art seen and welcome applications at “art@jplicks.com”.
