Here’s what you should know…
A LETTER FROM THE WELLESLEY COLLEGE
This year, Wellesley College’s New Student Orientation is offering students the chance to participate in walking tours of downtown Wellesley on Saturday, August 30th. These “Wellesley Explorer” tours will be coming through town between 10:00am and 4:00pm that day. These excursions will give new students a chance to get to know the area and all it has to offer.
Our advance description of the event read:
What’s in Wellesley? Walk around Central Street, Washington Street, and Linden Street, and see all of the amenities the town of Wellesley has to offer, from the commuter rail stop to the public library! Enjoy this wonderful guided tour, which can be customized to suit each group’s desired site visits, from an experienced student leader, and get to know your new town with your new classmates.
As a local business, you may find it helpful to know that groups of students may be passing by or stopping in during their tours. In fact, we invite you to set up a special sale or offer to entice students into your store. While we do not anticipate students spending a lot of time inside businesses on Saturday, we do in the future, and hope that they will be made to feel welcome.
We look forward to continuing our relationship with Wellesley businesses and we hope to show the incoming students all the great things that the town of Wellesley has to offer. If you have questions, you may contact us at email@example.com. Thank you!
